WHAT TYPE OF LESSONS DO YOU OFFER?

We offer lessons to both children and adults with special needs. Lessons may be taught in western or english discipline at the instructors discretion, and often times will be interchangeable. Based on the rider's experience, they may or may not start on lead with a volunteer assisting. All therapeutic instructors are PATH Intl. certified.

We also offer hippotherapy lessons. All hippotherapy lessons are conducted by a Physical Therapist (PT), Occupational Therapist (OT), or a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) who have been additionally trained and certified to use a horse as a treatment modality in a therapeutic riding setting. Please contact Lori Rhodes at (303) 883-4667 for more information.

WHAT AGE DOES MY CHILD HAVE TO BE?

Generally riders should be 3 years or older, but exceptions can be made on a case-by-case basis.

WHAT DOES A TYPICAL LESSON ENTAIL?

Our 30-minute lessons include riding and giving treats to their horse afterwards. 1-hour lessons include 15-20 minutes of grooming and tacking with or without assistance from a volunteer or instructor based on the riders ability, 40-45 minutes of riding, grooming and giving treats to the horse at the end of the lesson. Both our 30-minute and 1-hour lessons are subject to being semi-private or private lessons unless otherwise requested. If you prefer private lessons, please contact us at (303) 883-4667 for more information. All therapeutic instructors are PATH Intl. certified.
